Addiction Studies Program
Program Statement
Since addictions impact so many facets of our society, the addictions studies minor makes an excellent compliment to any major at Boise State. In addition, those completing the minor will also have completed most of the course work necessary for their Alcohol/Drug Counselor certification.

- HLTHST 255 Introduction to the Field of Addictions (3 credits)
- HLTHST 258 Blood Borne Pathogens for Addiction Professionals (1 credit)
- HLTHST 444 Addiction and the Family System (3 credits)
- HLTHST 448 Counseling Techniques for Health Professionals (3 credits)
- HLTHST 464 Screening and Assessment of Alcohol/Drug Problems (3 credits)
- HLTHST 465 Assessment of Alcohol/Drug Problems (3 credits)
- HLTHST 468 group Process for Addiction Professionals(3 credit3)
- HLTHST 469 Ethics for Addiction Professionals (2 credits)
